It's time to butt in. We're on a mission to wipe out the use of non-recycled toilet paper in Australia & New Zealand by 2014.
- 95% Australian's buy non recycled toilet paper.
- 270,000 trees a day cut down purely for toilet paper only around the world - that's 200 trees a minute. 98 million a year.
- Everytime a tonne of recycled toilet paper is made vs. non recycled, 31,000 litres of water and 400kg of greenhouse gases are saved.
Change the world in the toilet, by wiping out non-recycled toilet paper.
In an independent, "anti-boycott" campaign called Wipe It Out, we're winning the hearts and minds of toilet paper users. Yes, you. If we demand recycled toilet paper, our businesses and supermarkets will supply it. That is how markets work .
Now in 2012, we have also set our sights on New Zealand.
Wipe It Out is a unique campaign that focuses on collaboration, rather than using aggressive tactics against business and retailers that would divide or alienate.
Instead, we want Australia & New Zealand to stop turning its precious virgin rainforests or plantation forests into toilet paper for our backsides.
We'd rather see these two great countries wipe it out altogether and use recycled paper. Let us not be so rude as to chop down a tree and turn it in to toilet paper for its first and final use.
Make A Difference With Your Next Wipe!
|I pledge to wipe my butt with recycled toilet paper only. Next time I buy toilet paper for my household, I’ll remember that we are borrowing the planet from our children, and will only buy recycled toilet paper.|
